According to Alexandria Living, the experience at "The Inn" is often described as performance art, where Chef Patrick O’Connell treats every guest as the star of a romantic, era-defying dinner party. Known for its whimsical charm—including the famous rolling cheese cow, Faira—the establishment remains a beacon of American cuisine.

A Sustainable Legacy

The Inn's commitment to quality extends to its roots. Much of the produce and herbs are grown on-site by Farmer in Residence Andy Thewlis. This dedication to local sourcing and eco-friendly practices earned the restaurant a prestigious Michelin Green Star for sustainability in 2021.

The 48th Anniversary Menu Highlights

For a limited time, patrons can enjoy a special seven-course tasting menu priced at $388 per guest. This experience begins with a celebratory glass of Dom Pérignon and features a "best-of" collection from the past 48 years. Featured dishes include:

• Black and White Bean Soup (1978): Served with a Parmesan Fillo Straw.

• "Fire and Ice" (2001): Seared peppered tuna paired with cucumber noodles and sorbet.

• Lamb Loin Carpaccio (1992): Accompanied by unique Caesar salad ice cream.

• George Washington’s Paw Paw Posset (2022): A velvety custard inspired by the first president's favorite native fruit.
