One of the biggest food rumors in Northern Virginia is starting to look a lot more real.

Eataly, the famous Italian marketplace known for combining restaurants, cafes, grocery shopping, fresh pasta, wine, cheese, cooking classes, and specialty Italian products under one roof, appears to be moving closer to opening at Tysons Corner Center.

For months, the speculation around Eataly has centered on the former American Girl space inside the mall. That two-level storefront near Bloomingdale’s was one of the most recognizable retail spaces at Tysons Corner Center for years. American Girl officially closed that location in early January before reopening in a smaller space elsewhere in the mall.
