Not all walkable neighborhoods in Northern Virginia are created equal. One was founded in 1749 and you genuinely don't need a car to live there. Another is a brand new development where the walkable lifestyle won't fully exist until 2027 or 2028. Some have Metro every few blocks, and some have no Metro at all. So I ranked the region's most walkable neighborhoods from worst to best, with current prices and the honest trade-offs, because picking the wrong one is an expensive mistake.
