Some neighborhoods like Briar have "Protect Briar - Say No to Power Lines" signs because data centers are putting up huge power towers, which is something to think about. Many people work at data center companies—Chris has family members who do. While the data center development changes the landscape, it's bringing significant employment opportunities and the county expects long-term tax benefits. The transformation is part of Bristow's evolution alongside residential growth.
What's Victory Lakes neighborhood like?
Victory Lakes is one of Chris's favorite neighborhoods in all of Northern Virginia. Built around 2005-2007, it features really unique Miller & Smith homes—Miller & Smith always did unique-looking houses which Chris appreciates. The neighborhood has huge houses with really large townhomes (some 4 levels, absolutely huge) plus massive single-families. Many homes have detached garages behind them, which is really cool if you're a car lover like Chris so you can park your car properly. There's a huge beautiful clubhouse and a huge lake (not for jet skis, but scenic). Victory Lakes has its own elementary school with plenty of new middle schools in the area. Beautiful mature landscaping with plenty of pocket neighborhoods throughout. Single-families run around $700K-$1M. It's conveniently located—University Boulevard cuts over to VRE station, Two Silos, and where the FBI is. Target is 2 minutes away, Costco 5-10 miles in Manassas. The neighborhood is huge with diverse housing options and great walkability throughout.
What's Kingsbrook neighborhood like?
Kingsbrook was built in the early 2000s/late 90s and is one of the first big neighborhoods in Bristow—Chris's cousin lives there and loves it, talks highly of it all the time. There's a pool, tennis courts (people actually playing in freezing weather), beautiful clubhouse with business center, place for kids' bikes, tot lots everywhere. Bristow Run Elementary is right in the neighborhood. Beautiful sidewalks where you can walk anywhere, trails, pond for fishing. Conveniently located right off Linton Hall Road with easy access to everything.
